First held in October 1999 under the leadership of the Paleontology–Stratigraphy Working Group, this annual event has become a prominent scientific platform. It brings together researchers working in:

PURPOSE AND SCOPE OF OUR WORKSHOP

The International Paleontology-Stratigraphy Workshop was first organized in October 1999 under the leadership of the Paleontology-Stratigraphy Working Group. This workshop aims to bring together not only geologists working in the fields of paleontology and stratigraphy, but also scientists conducting research in disciplines such as paleoanthropology, evolutionary biology, paleogeography, paleoecology, paleobiology, marine geology and biology, and geoarchaeology.

This event, which encourages the sharing of information, provides a scientific discussion environment, and paves the way for the development of possible multidisciplinary collaborations, is held regularly every year. Within the scope of the workshop, the topics are not only introduced on a scientific basis, but also current developments in Turkey and the world are presented to the participants orally with original papers.

The 26th Paleontology-Stratigraphy Workshop with International Participation will be hosted by Yozgat Bozok University between September 25-28, 2025. The aim of this workshop is to share new technical and scientific developments with the participation of domestic and international expert scientists.
